Kantara

Kantara is an action thriller film in Kannada language from India released in the year 2022 by the Indian filmmaker Rishab Shetty who stars in the lead role. The area of action in the film is the coastal area of Karnataka and it also depicts the conflicts between nature worshipping traditions and modern societies.

Kantara has had a very profitable release at the box office as it broke records and became one of the most successful Kannada films producing the highest numbers at the box office. The magnificent visuals of the film coupled with the strong acting of the performers and the stimulating story captured audiences all over India.

It is also worth noting that the film’s epilogue containing brimming emotions has got appreciation from everywhere especially the “Bhoota Kola” a form of ceremonial dance. The popularity of Kantara has certainly increased the appreciation of Kannada films and made Rishab Shetty one of the young promising directors of India.
