Godzilla vs. Kong, is distributed through Warner Bros. Pictures and produced by Legendary Pictures and released in 2021 is a science fiction monster film. The fourth film within the MonsterVerse franchise has succeeded Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019).

This time the giant gorilla is fighting the Godzilla’s, with the goddess of sea monsters, in a lust for power. The film grossed over 468 million dollars at the box office. The action scenes, special effects, and cast performance were highly appraised by the critics.

While doing this, Godzilla vs. Kong is among the first big mainstream Hollywood films which combine theatrical and HBO Max piracy release over the course of the Covid 19 lock-downs. The success of the film led to the reboot of the box office which eared that people would still go to cinemas to watch BIG films.
